ASME SA335 P22 Alloy Steel Pipes
The ASME SA335 pipes specification includes several alloy steel grades designed for high-temperature service conditions. Among these, P22 is a widely specified grade used in pressure piping systems. These pipes provide good mechanical strength and are capable of operating under elevated temperature and pressure conditions. They also offer resistance to oxidation and corrosion and are suitable for operations such as welding, flanging, and similar forming processes.
The ASME SA335 P22 pipe is commonly used in equipment and piping systems within industries such as chemical processing, pharmaceuticals, power generation, and gas processing. The material generally provides a minimum tensile strength of 415 MPa and a minimum yield strength of 205 MPa with elongation of approximately 30%.
