Our firm manufactures API 5L L450 Pipe following a defined process that starts with thermal expansion to produce large-diameter pipes and refine wall thickness. Induction heating is applied to achieve the required mechanical properties for heat treatment. The pipe diameter and wall thickness are maintained within specification tolerances. After expansion, the pipes are straightened using a laser measurement system, followed by corrections. Sample pipes are taken for destructive testing to verify quality.
Samples are analyzed to confirm chemical composition and mechanical properties align with API specifications. The API 5L L450 Pipe is then cleaned using sanding belts and wire brushes to remove oxides, preparing the surface for ultrasonic testing. Non-destructive testing is performed using eddy current (ET) systems, while manual and visual inspections are conducted. Additional checks include deposition and manual ultrasonic testing to ensure pipe integrity.
