ASTM A240 Stainless Steel 316/316L sheets are supplied for fabrication and industrial applications where enhanced corrosion resistance and weldability are required. ASTM A240 SS 316/316L Sheets combine the strength and corrosion resistance of 316 grade with the improved weldability of low carbon 316L, making them suitable for use in marine, chemical processing, and general engineering environments.
These sheets are available in a range of standard sizes, thicknesses, and dimensions to meet project requirements. Stainless steel 316/316L sheets offer good tensile strength, resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, and reliable performance at elevated temperatures, along with excellent formability and fabrication characteristics.

ASTM A240 Stainless Steel 316/316L sheets are typically available in thickness ranges from approximately 0.3 mm to 50 mm and are supplied in surface finishes such as 2B, BA, and mirror finish. Standard widths include 1000 mm, 1250 mm, 1500 mm, and 2000 mm, with lengths up to 6000 mm or cut-to-size options as required. Additional forms include perforated sheets, shim sheets, and chequered plates.
Material quality is maintained through standard inspection and testing procedures, including chemical analysis, mechanical testing, and dimensional verification. Third-party inspection and certification in accordance with EN 10204 3.1 can be provided as per client requirements. Sheets are packed using wooden pallets, crates, and protective wrapping to ensure safe handling and transportation.
